Privacy

The short version: your data never reaches us, because there is nothing for it to reach.

What the tools do with your data

Every tool on PocketTools runs inside your own browser, using JavaScript on your device. Images you compress, passwords you generate, tokens you decode and notes you write are processed locally and are never transmitted to a server. There is no backend, no database and no upload endpoint.

What is stored on your device

A few preferences are saved in your browser's local storage so the site works the way you left it: your theme (light or dark), your favorite tools, recently used tools, and the content of the scratchpad. This data stays on your device, is never read by us, and you can export or wipe it at any time ("Export my data" in the footer, or by clearing site data in your browser).

Cookies

PocketTools sets no cookies.

Analytics

The site may use a cookie-free, anonymous visit counter (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics or GoatCounter) to know which tools are useful. These solutions do not use cookies, do not fingerprint your device and cannot identify you.

Advertising

A single ad slot may be served by an advertising network. If a network requiring consent is enabled, a consent banner will be shown as required by law, and this page will be updated to name the provider.

Third-party requests

The site is served as static files. The only third-party request is the QR code library loaded from the cdnjs content delivery network; it receives a standard web request (your IP address and browser headers) and nothing about what you type into the tools. Fonts are self-hosted.
